This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our Service.

• Usage data — pages visited, features used, session duration, and interaction patterns.
• Device information — device type, operating system, browser type, and screen resolution.
• Log data — IP address, access times, referring URLs, and general location data for security and support.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
• To process your voice recordings and generate book chapters using AI.
• To process payments and deliver printed books.
• To send transactional emails (account confirmation, order updates).
• To respond to support requests.
• To detect and prevent fraud or abuse.
• To analyze usage in aggregated, non-identifying ways to improve the product.

3. AI and Processing

We use automated systems, including AI, to turn your voice and answers into written chapters and to format your book. This processing is done to deliver the service you request. We do not use your personal story content to train general-purpose AI models for unrelated products.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers provided by our hosting partners (including Supabase and cloud infrastructure providers). We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest to protect your information.

Voice recordings are processed for transcription and chapter generation. You may delete your recordings and book content at any time from within the app.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

• Service providers — third parties that help us operate the Service (hosting, payment processing, printing, email delivery, AI processing).
• Legal requirements — when required by law, regulation, or legal process.
• Business transfers — if part of a merger, acquisition, or sale, subject to appropriate privacy safeguards.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.

7. Cookies

Our website uses Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel only if you agree in the cookie banner. Nothing is loaded before you choose, and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.

• Necessary — your choice is kept in your browser's local storage (not a cookie) for 6 months, so we do not ask again on every page. It is not sent to us.
• Analytics — Google Analytics, provided by Google Ireland Limited, counts visits and shows which pages are used. It sets the cookies _ga and _ga_0SPX9YL9FV, which your browser keeps for up to 2 years.
• Marketing — the Meta Pixel, provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, shows whether our ads on Facebook and Instagram lead to sign-ups. It records the pages you view and a completed sign-up, not other clicks. It sets the cookie _fbp and, if you came from one of our Meta ads, _fbc; your browser keeps both for up to 90 days. It also keeps the address of the page that sent you here and, after an ad click, the ad-click identifier in your browser's local storage (lastExternalReferrer, lastExternalReferrerTime, multiFbc).

If you withdraw your consent, the tool stops at once and its cookies and stored entries are deleted from your browser. Google and Meta may process this data outside the European Union, including in the United States.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. International Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we apply appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.
